I like to write, knit and read, and to watch anything written by Joss Whedon, or acted by Paul Gross or Callum Keith Rennie. Listening to anything sung by Hugh Dillon is pretty high on the list too. Have a husband herein known as DearHub or Washaway, two sons (ages 17 and 16, occasionally appearing in these ramblings as Thing One and Thing Two) and a big lunkheaded hound, Harlan. (He said I could use his real name.)
I tumbled into the whole LiveJournal/fanfic thing in fall of 2005, with Buffyverse stories. Until recently I'd only done the occasional tiny bit in other fandoms, but in the spring of 2007 the characters of Due South built an igloo in my brain. They're drying fish for the next long winter and show no signs of ever leaving.
Currently I'm a copy cataloger in a small public library, and am in online grad school to get my library science masters. I'm trying to wrestle a first draft of a novel to the ground, but lately it is pinning me instead and breathing hotly in my ear.
Current schoolgirl crush list (What? Grad school TOTALLY counts): Callum Keith Rennie, Paul Gross, Spike, Brisco County Jr., Hugh Dillon, Geoffrey Tennant, Gwen Cooper, Agent Mulder, Benton Fraser, Drew Barrymore, Robyn Hitchcock, John Linnell, Bill Nye (shut up he's HOT) Ray Kowalski, Rodney McKay and the new Starbuck. Yeah, I know some of them are fictional, but why be prejudiced against the nonexistent?
Friends policy: Friends! Yay!
The journal is a mix of real-life and fannish entries. The real-life stuff is mostly things that amuse me--not a lot of rage or angst, usually. Mostly because I have a really lucky life. ::knocks wood desperately::
The fanfiction stuff--well, some of it involves fictional characters having sex. Sometimes these characters are of the same gender. I have zero desire to upset anybody, so if that's going to upset you, don't read it, okay?
